CASIB Participates in Scientific Conference at S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University
CASIB participated in a scientific conference at S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, presenting funding opportunities from BMFTR and DFG for international research cooperation and visiting the university’s Center of Pharmacy and Pharmacology to learn about its research and innovation activities.
CASIB participated in the scientific conference “Horizons of the KazNMU Technopark: Constitutional Foundations for the Development of Science, Innovation and Health Protection”, hosted by S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University.
The conference brought together representatives of universities, research institutes, and innovation organizations to discuss the strategic development of university research, medical innovation, technology transfer, and the commercialization of scientific results. Participants were introduced to the activities of the KazNMU Technopark, an innovation platform that integrates the university’s research, educational, and clinical capacities to advance medical technologies and foster a sustainable innovation ecosystem.
As part of the conference programme, CASIB delivered a presentation on research funding opportunities provided by the German Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) and the German Research Foundation (DFG). The presentation highlighted funding instruments for international scientific cooperation and opportunities for researchers interested in developing collaborative projects with German partners. The event provided an excellent platform for strengthening academic exchange and fostering new research collaborations between Kazakhstan and Germany.
Following the conference, CASIB representatives visited the laboratories of the KazNMU Center of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, where they learned about the center’s research infrastructure, ongoing pharmaceutical research, and its efforts to translate scientific discoveries into innovative healthcare solutions.
