Overview: How to apply for a BMFTR Funding Grant

 

1.Choose a suitable contest (Call)

Funding announcements are always published in the Federal Gazette and on the websites of the funding institutions involved. All current announcements relating to international education and research funding, which are managed by the International Bureau in the DLR Project Management Agency

2.Find a German coordinating partner https://www.hochschulkompass.de/home.html

→ only a German organization applies to the BMFTR

→ Partners from Central Asia need a support letter

3. Form a consortium and project

→ joint tasks, role allocation

→ budget for DE and CA parties, expected results and implementation

    4.Apply online Communication is usually conducted through a German partner

    → download the Feasibility study (Project Proposal), CV, plans, justifications, support letters

    5. Track the examination and sign the grant agreement

    → requests for clarifications are possible
    → after approval — formal documents and start of the project
