We are pleased to invite you to the Regional Conference for Future-Oriented Research and Innovations: How Research Drives Sustainable Development and Transformation in Central Asia, taking place on 17–18 November 2026 in Astana, Kazakhstan.

Venue: Alem Ai, Astana
Organizers: MLU Representative Office in Kazakhstan, CASIB and Astana Hub

The conference will bring together researchers, policymakers, innovation stakeholders and representatives of partner institutions from Germany and Central Asia to discuss how research and innovation can contribute to sustainable development and the transformation of the region.

The two-day programme will focus on:

  • Day 1: Joint research projects, presentations and plenary discussions
  • Day 2: Interactive workshops on knowledge transfer and innovation

The conference is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
