Kick‑Off Meeting of the ExSoil Project at the National Academy of Sciences in Almaty

We are delighted to announce the successful launch of the ExSoil project. The project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) and coordinated by Prof. Dr. Georg Guggenberger, Head of the Institute of Soil Science at Leibniz University Hannover.

The project aims to establish a Central Asian Soil Competence Network, recognizing that healthy soils are fundamental to functioning ecosystems and food security. This initiative is both timely and essential for the region.

Over the next three years, ExSoil will promote research activities, knowledge exchange, capacity building, and education on soil health across Central Asia. CASIB wishes the entire team great success and looks forward to closely following the project’s progress.
