About: 2024 will mark the 20th anniversary of the Central Asian Institute for Applied Geosciences. CAIAG will convene this landmark conference in cooperation with the Ministry of Emergency Situations KR, the Ministry of Education KR, the Ministry of Natural Resources KR, the National Academy of Sciences KR, and the Helmholtz Centre Potsdam - GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences.

CASIB supported a workshop on discussing the results of the needs assessment and situation analysis in Central Asian universities within the framework of the GIZ regional project “Climate Sensitive Water Resources Management in Central Asia”. The event was held from 02 to 04 July in Tashkent and gathered representatives of Central Asian universities, Martin Luther University, ETH Zurich, GIZ and CAREC.
