CASIB supported a workshop on discussing the results of the needs assessment and situation analysis in Central Asian universities within the framework of the GIZ regional project “Climate Sensitive Water Resources Management in Central Asia”. The event was held from 02 to 04 July in Tashkent and gathered representatives of Central Asian universities, Martin Luther University, ETH Zurich, GIZ and CAREC.
The main goal of the regional project is to strengthen the capacity of national and regional organizations responsible for water resources management to implement coordinated water resources management considering climate impacts at the regional and national levels. During the workshop, participants discussed the concept of developing a certification course for specialists in the water sector.
