In mid-January, Dr. Peter Liebelt, Head of CASIB, participated in the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) in Berlin.
The forum brought together key stakeholders, including Kazakhstan’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture and representatives from Germany’s Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity (BMLEH), to discuss challenges and priorities in agriculture, food security, and sustainable land use.
Highlights included the “Kazakhstan–Germany Agro & Water Nexus” roundtable, where government, industry, and research explored digitalization in agronomy, water-efficient solutions, and joint initiatives such as a regional cooperation center and collaborative research projects.
