On October 16, CASIB participated in the Central Asia University Forum at the invitation of the Ministry of Education. In recent years, the landscape of Central Asian universities has shown very positive development. Universities are becoming more international, building research competencies, and, as a result, are increasingly competitive on the global stage.
For example, TIIAME from Uzbekistan is already ranked among the top 600 universities, and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is among the top 200 universities in the global QS University Rankings. A young and rapidly growing society presents significant challenges to universities but also offers great potential for the countries' development opportunities. Networking, internationalization, profiling, and trust are identified as key factors in the successful development of universities.
An example of positive development in the university landscape is the New Uzbekistan University, which aims to become a top university in Central Asia and worldwide in cooperation with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Technical University of Munich.
