Since 2020, the Kazakh-German University, with the support of the "Green Central Asia" initiative, has been
holding an international online conference to exchange knowledge and support the region to transform into a
Green economy. In 3 years, the conference has already reached more than 1,500 people and more than 100
organizations around the world who are interested in the topics of water, energy, climate, agriculture and
ecosystems. Through the participation of the policymakers, experts, representatives of academia, NGOs and civil
society, the Conference allows us to highlight major trends and research in the economies and politics of Central
Asia.
The main outcome of the Conference is the publication of policy briefs for each of the thematic sessions of the
