Earlier in October CASIB joined the online conference on developing a green economy in Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the German Business Association in Kazakhstan. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany to Kazakhstan Monica Iversen and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar. The guests and members of the German Business Association discussed Kazakhstan's strategic goal by 2060: achieving carbon neutrality, i.e. achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions. Some speakers also shared an overview of their company products and services that are already contributing to the decarbonisation of the industrial sector today.
Decarbonisation belongs to one of the main fields, supported by Germany through CLIENT II funding measure. The conference revealed a demand for the new carbon reducing technologies in the region. In compliance with the strategic goals of CLIENT II, CASIB supports the efforts towards the carbon neutrality.
