The event was opened by Dr. Alexander Spaak, delegate of the German industry in Central Asia, Matthias Schepp, CEO of the German-Russian Chamber of Foreign Trade, and Dr. Wladimir Augustinski, head of the German Economy Representation in Belarus. Local government officials like Kazakhstan's deputy foreign secretary Ermek Koscherbajew as well as the German and Russian ambassador in Kazakhstan, Dr. Tilo Klinner and Alexej Borodavkin, also adressed the participants, followed by a plenary session and two panel discussions with room for exchange and networking.

Among the core subjects was the development of agriculture in the EEU. One of the two panel discussions focused on "digitalisation and next-generation technologies in the EEU exemplified by agriculture: current state, perspective, obstacles". The process of digitalisation affects all branches of Kazakhstan's economy, but particularly shapes the agrarian sector at present.

The conference higlighted the significance of the Eurasion Economic Union for the economic development of Germany and Kazakhstan and closely examined steps and potentials for a more effective cooperation in the near future.
