The Republic of Kazakhstan and the Federal Republic of Germany, in their joint Declaration on Cooperation, signed during the visit of the German Federal Chancellor to Astana on September 16 and 17, 2014, supported the work of the Central Asia Sustainable Innovation Bureau (CASIB).
From September 16 to 17, the German Federal Chancellor visited Kazakhstan as part of his Central Asia tour to deepen the already comprehensive partnership with the country. The joint Declaration highlights the importance of education and science, as well as the intention to develop cooperation between the two countries further. The parties welcome the work of the regional project office CASIB in Almaty, which is intended to facilitate networking among researchers and exchange research results (point 50 of the Joint Declaration on Cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Federal Republic of Germany).
