On 9 August, CASIB visited the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The institution was founded in 1932 as the Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and in 1991 it was reorganized into the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Its tasks include advising farmers on the introduction of scientific innovations. Due to our extensive regional and international connections and technical expertise, cooperation with the Academy is essential to us.   During the visit, the members of the Academy presented current topics and project ideas such as approaches to climate adaptation and the rational use of water as a resource for the region. The Academy expressed great interest in more intensive cooperation with Germany. CASIB used this opportunity to inform about current funding opportunities for joint projects with Germany and accepted inquiries for future potential funding topics in the field of sustainable agricultural land use.
