Energy Week Central Asia & Mongolia

The event brings together authorities and energy companies from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Mongolia as well as international financial institutions and major multinational investors, EPC and consultancy firms for a dialogue aimed at fostering the deployment of renewable energy in the region and attracting foreign direct investment.

On April 05, CASIB met with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Tashkent to discuss project activities in Central Asia, especially in the Aral Sea region.

Visit to the TERESA-project in Nur-Sultan (04.03.2022)

The TERESA project is developing recommendations for optimizing urban water circulation in Nur-Sultan. Thus various field studies are being carried out at Nazarbayev University. Scientists from Kazakhstan (Nazarbayev University) and Germany (TU-Dresden) are working on innovative water management methods that improve the infiltration and storage of surface water formed during snowmelt or heavy rains, floods in urban areas, and then reduce the risk of urban flooding. and enrich aquifers with additional water, for example for irrigation in summer.
